SG GSC - A Strategic Centre for the Group
Set up as a strategic arm of the Bank in 2000, at Bangalore, Société Générale Global Solution Centre serves as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for the Group. SG GSC was started by Société Générale as its second entity in India after the Investment Bank. Over the past eight years, SG GSC has evolved to become the 'Global Knowledge Centre' for the Group with a reputation for providing innovative solutions that combine in-depth business knowledge with exceptional technology skills.
SG GSC embodies Professionalism, Team Spirit and Innovation that are the core values of the Group. Today, Société Générale Group entities work closely with SG GSC for solutions in Information Technology, Accounting & Finance, Banking Operations, Business and Process Consultancy. SG GSC has gained stature within the Group for offering total solutions with an emphasis on excellence.
The centre today has over 850 employees and has plans to grow further in the coming years. The entity in India conforms to the Group diversity principles and has staff speaking around 20 native languages and represents five nationalities.
SG GSC works for multiple business lines including Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking , Specialized Financial Services, Retail Banking and Global Investment Management and Services.
The centre has also contributed for IT operations of Société Générale business lines' setup in the Indian market.
